Session Voted Funds for Puentes
de Cristo Mission Trip
Head for the border towns of McAllen and Reynosa
to visit Puentes de Cristo (Points of Christ) on April 13th - 15th. We will head out Friday afternoon after
school and eat dinner on the way down.
After arriving and getting settled, we will worship and hear a word
about this Presbyterian Border Ministry.
We will have a work day on Saturday and visit a local church on Sunday
morning before coming back. The cost
of the trip is being underwritten by the church, so it will be between $50 -
75 which will include meals, dorm lodging, and the purchase of some construction
materials for our workday. (Hotel
accommodations are also available.)
Please feel free to join us for the worship, education, and
sightseeing even if your doctor does not prescribe a day of work in the
Mexican sun. Contact David Jahnke with
questions or to make reservations.
“Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give
you something to drink? When did we
see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you?... ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the
least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’ (Matthew 25:
37, 38, 40)
